LM317 Adjustable Power Supply Voltage

LM317 is the most popular IC that using for regulating the voltage power supply and also can for adjustable voltage. Many DIYers who was familiar with this ic. but I want to share again with existing design pcb in easyEDA, which you can later edit themselves. PCB is designed by https://easyeda.com/layout.

LM317 is ic with three terminal pins, adjustable positive voltage regulator integrated for National Semiconductor Corporation Ns. Range of output voltage of the LM317 IC is 1.2 Volt up to 37 Volt DC, and the maximum load current is at 1.5 Ampere. Use LM317 IC is very simple, just by using two external resistors (additional) to set the output voltage. In addition the level of voltage adjustment and the burden is also very easy to use and regularly on the output voltage.

This 5V to 12V Voltage boost ( Voltage Converter ) circuit is consist  a voltage source reference oscillator, converter, logic control circuit, and the switching transistor. based oscillation on IC34063 can control the switch current from source voltage. Running Text with LCD 16x2 using Arduino Uno

LCD 16x2
LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) is a type of display media which uses a liquid crystal as the main performers. LCD already used in many fields, for example in electronic equipment, such as televisions, calculators or computer screen.
In experiment this time I will display the Running text (text Running) using 16x2 LCD which means LCD consists of 16 columns and 2 lines of code

Tools and materials required:
  • 1x Arduino Uno
  • 1x Potentio meter 5K Ohm
  • 16 Pin header (Connector) and then soldered to beforehand to the LCD)
  • 1x Breadboard
  • Jumper cables sufficiently

LCD Pin Description:

LCD pin number 4 (RS) is a Register Selector function to select Register Control or Data Register. The control register is used to configure the LCD. Data registers are used to write data to the memory character LCD display.

LCD pin number 5 (R / W) is used to select the data stream if the READ or WRITE. Because most functions only to read data from the LCD and only need to write data only to the LCD, then the leg is connected to GND (WRITE).

LCD pin number 6 (ENABLE) is used to turn the LCD on the process of writing data to the Registry Control and Data Registers LCD.

Steps by steps to connect the LCD to Arduino:

1) Compose the circuit as shown below on a breadboard.

Installation Description:
Pin RS (4) connect with the pin 12 pin digital Arduino
Pin E (6 ) connect with the pin 11 pin digital Arduino
Pin D4 (11) connect with pin digital Arduino pin 5
Pin D5 (12) connect with pin digital Arduino pin 4
Pin D6 (13)connect with pin digital Arduino pin 3
D7 pin (14 feet) connect with pin digital Arduino pin 2
Connect the 10 Kohm pot to + 5v and GND and Pin LCD 3 to potentio
Pin 5 (R / W) to Ground

2.) After that connect the Arduino on a Laptop / PC using a serial cable.
3.) Download and Install program on Arduino.cc Arduino IDE (If Needed)
4.) Once installed, run the Arduino its program.
 Click the menu "Tools -  Board -Arduino Uno"
6.) Click the menu "Tools - Port -(Select Port arduino detected on your computer)
7.) Then enter Sketch below.

400W and 800W Power Amplifier Circuit

At this post is share about power amplifier circuit, I share two schematic circuit power amplifier, which is a power amplifier with output power of 400W and 800W. Both are the same have 8 Ohm output load, but with different components and the power supply voltage is different. Let's look at a circuit schematic below.

In the circuit 400W power amplifier uses transistors on the base strengthening. Similarly, a 800W power amplifier circuit. However, a highly significant difference was a series of buffer transistor, driver, and the finals.

For a 400W power amplifier circuit using the transistor below.
Buffer Stage : A970 2X and TIP31 1X
Driver Stage : TIP31 and TIP32  1X
Final Stage : 2SC2922 and 2SA1216 1X

While for the 800W power amplifier circuit using the transistor below.
Buffer Stage : A970 5X , C2240 2X , BD140 1X , BD139 1X ,
Driver Stage : TIP31 and TIP32 1X
Final Stage : 2SC5200 and 2SA1943 10X

Min and Max Power Supply are power amplifier :
400W Power Amplifier Circuit : 25V - 45V DC Ct
800W Power Amplifier Circuit : 35 - 45V DC Ct

Both the circuit above is a series of monolithic power amplifier, so you need 2x the circuit 2x component to create a stereo power amplifier circuit.  Transformer recommended that is 5 to 10 Ampere.

If you assembling circuit above properly and correctly, Power amplifier will be used and work optimally with a quality sound output.

Fluorescent lamp circuit uses transistors 2N3055 and some other passive circuit. Active Bass Audio Power Amplifier - Subwoofer System Project

Last week i make Active Bass ( Subwoofer ) Audio Amplifier complete speaker box design. The audio circuit is I specialize for low tone (Bass). Power Amplifier circuit using most popular amplifier circuit 750W Mono Power Amplifier.

However I was slightly modified for the driver transistor and transistor final.Circuit power amplifier and components you can see in the picture below.

I modify the driver transistor and the final is on the B1786 A1837 transistor C4793 with the D1763. In the circuit using the transistor is highly recommended because the transistor is very powerful and not overly burdened so that the transistor is not hot. Then for transistor C5200 and a1943 I change with c4468 and a1695. Transistor I replace the smaller underneath because the load is not covered much by these transistors, will be handed over by the final transistor. For my final transistor using 2SC2922 and 2SA1216 5DY original. The sound emitted is not broken and is suitable for use mono bass.

For specifications of the power supply I use 10Ampere transformer, two capacitors 10000uF / 50V diode bridge. The circuit power supply you can find many on this site.

Why do I use this 750W power amplifier? why not use other power amplifier circuit.
Because this power amplifier is matched for 8 inch speaker , so if you want to upgrade speaker you can replace with 8 inch subwoofer speaker with higher power.

Audio Booster circuit

The following circuit is Audio Booster similiar as Tone booster  ( Bass and Treeble ) has a maximum gain of around 22 dB (voltage gain). The frequency response of the amplifier is determined mostly by the value of just a couple of components, primarily C1 and R1. See the following Audio Booster circuit below :

The values of the circuit diagram present a response of ±3.0 dB from about 120 Hz to higher than 20,000 Hz.In fact, the frequency response is ruler flat starting from about 170 Hz to more than 20,000 Hz; it's the low end that deviates from a flat frequency response.

The low end's roll-off is primarily a function of capacitor C1(since RI's resistive value is fixed). If C1's value is replaced to 0.1 pF, the low end's comer frequency-the frequency at which the low-end roll-off starts-is reduced to about 70 Hz.

In the event you want an even deeper low-end roll-off, change C1 to a 1.0 pF capacitor; if it is an electrolytic type, make particular that it is installed into the circuit with the proper polarity, using the positive terminal connected to Q1's base terminal.

Crazy Sound 1700W Power Amplifier Circuit

Not the one with the title of this post, why crazy sound ? Because of circuit power amplfier is really crazy, sound is powerful. By having a power output of 1700W Mono at 8 Ohm load with power supply voltage of around 110VDC. This power amplifier have featured Indicator clip and speaker protector circuit. Final transistor using Sanken C3264 and A1295. Bellow the circuit schematic and PCB Layout.

For the initial setup, VR-2 at the position to the left of the VR-1 at the center position. Then the VR-1 setup. Avometer position in DC volts, Avo + to the speaker avo - to ground. Up to 0 Volt. After the VR-2, from a base Sanken SC (NPN) to the base of Sanken SA (PNP). avo + to base SC and avo - to base SA, max voltage should be 1 volt.
